Is there anything like that for Invisible War? It's the same engine so I hope so.
#DEUS EX INVISIBLE WAR PC GAMING WIKI MOD#
I recall a mod appearing not too long ago for Thief: Deadly Shadows that removed the loading portals from the maps and has them stitched together. With that in mind what are the best mods for Invisible War to make it less like an Xbox piece of crud? I'm referring mainly to a new HUD perhaps (because that default one was f***ing awful even back then). However I'm now older, more cynical and grumpy so grappling with Invisible War's "consoleness" fills me me with dread. It still has a strong player choice aspect and is more open than a lot of other shooters combined. I did actually attempt to do this a few years ago but the game kept crashing just after the start, I couldn't fix it and I gave up. I figured it's high time I gave Invisible War another go. Start the game, then Volai No Damage from the AI. When I downloaded the game, it did not work, I even messed around with the Visible Upgrade mod, but I still could not get it to work. Edit the file the same way, however, when saving, turn off the Read-Only Attribute of the file, save, then change it to Read-Only again. About a year ago (wow, time flies) I asked if Deus Ex Invisible War was worth a buy. I've also played Human Revolution for the second time before it and very recently finished Mankind Divided. Same process as the DEMO file editing, however, use the file USER.INI in the SYSTEM folder under your Deus Ex Invisible War folder. Play the Game Deus Ex: Invisible War v1.1 ENGLISH Fixed EXE. Replace the original DX2.EXE file with the one from the File Archive. Apply the official Deus Ex: Invisible War v1.02 Patch.
#DEUS EX INVISIBLE WAR PC GAMING WIKI INSTALL#
I recently played Deus Ex again for the millionth time, with the Revision mod. Play Instructions: Install the game - Full Installation. I think the only things that got to me at the time was the tiny, tiny size of the maps broken up by loading portals - the same thing that befell Thief: Deadly Shadows (Thief 3) and general "consoleness" sneaking into PC gaming, yep it started back then and for me is started with those two games. Not that I found the game rubbish it just paled in comparison to the masterpiece that came before it. The number of times I've played Invisible War since it's release back in 2003/4 is.ONCE.
